Darius Jones Quartet featuring Emilie Lesbros

American saxophonist and composer Darius Jones and French vocalist and composer Emilie Lesbros are touring new works inspired by the French actress, novelist, playwright, poet, and avant-garde singer Brigitte Fontaine. Jones and Lesbros will be by French bassist Pascal Niggenkemper and Americans Ches Smith (drums) and Matt Mitchell (piano).

Mirenka Cechova

Miřenka Čechová  is an actor, performer, choreographer and director from the Czech Republic. She is co-founder of the Spitfire Company (physical and dance theatre) and Tantehorse company (physical mime). Her work with these companies has been presented in more than fifteen countries and her solo work, directing and lecturing is regularly presented in the USA.

City of Poets featuring Cedric Hanriot & Jason Palmer

The City of Poets project features French pianist and composer Cedric Hanriot with American trumpeter Jason Palmer in a musical homage to the work of science fiction writer Dan Simmons. Hanriot and Palmer composed a suite of three movements using seven distinct melodies based on the famed “7 modes of limited transportation” created by influential French composer Olivier Messiaen to translate Simmon’s stories into original and improvisational music.
