The ArtsHERE program received a notice of funding termination from the National Endowment for the Arts in Spring 2025. South Arts requested reconsideration of this decision from the National Endowment for the Arts and was notified that the decision had been upheld in Fall 2025. Mid Atlantic Arts and South Arts staff have been in communication with grantees and have concluded this program. We are grateful for the collaboration with grantees and USRAOs, and continue to be invested in increasing access to the arts across the region and beyond.
The submission window for ArtsHERE Statements of Interest closed on January 19, 2024. The pilot round of grants is now complete. We are not currently accepting applications. You can learn more about the program and see the guidelines (reference only) at the U.S. Regional Arts (USRAO) webpage.
Each of the 112 organizations selected to receive an ArtsHERE grant has demonstrated a strong commitment to increasing access in their practices and programming. ArtsHERE will support projects proposed by each grant recipient to help them better serve their communities and address disparities in arts participation.
