USArtists International 2019 Announces Round Two Grants
MAAF has announced 37 grants totaling $336,910   to 11 dance, 18 music, and eight theater companies and solo performers from across the United States. Engagements will take place at 33 festivals in 25 countries around the globe through the second of three grant rounds of the 2019  USArtists International  (USAI) program. In total, the program has awarded over $6.62 million through 889 grants to 528 ensembles and solo performers since its inception in 2006.
 
The next deadline is April 3, 2019 for projects taking place between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020. The online application can be accessed  here .

On Screen/In Person Closes Out it's 2018-2019 Season with Director Daresha Kyi's CHAVELA
Join director Daresha Kyi for a thought-provoking look at the life of Costa Rican singer Chavela Vargas. CHAVELA  weaves an arresting portrait of a woman who dared to dress, speak, perform, and dream to her own unique beat. Centered around exclusive, never-before-seen interview footage of Vargas shot in 1991 and guided by the artist’s voice, CHAVELA  explores the myths and tales others have told about her and those she spread about herself.

MAAF is Looking for a Summer Intern - Deadline Extended!
The Summer Arts Administration Intern will help staff administer the Individual Artist Fellowship programs on behalf of the Delaware Division of the Arts and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. These programs recognize artists in their respective states working in the literary, performing and visual arts with awards based solely on artistic excellence.

The Intern will gain an understanding of the grantmaking process for individual artists and have a chance to interact with artists from a range of disciplines. The Intern will also receive a broad introduction to other functions of the organization and may have the opportunity to assist other program officers with special projects as well as the opportunity to attend staff meetings, workshops, and other educational activities when feasible.

Stipend and support for commuting expenses included!

  • The Harpo Foundation is accepting applications for its Grants for Visual Artists program. Through the annual program, grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to under-recognized visual artists age 21 or older. Grants are intended to support the development of the artist and his/her work.   • The Women's Studio Workshop in Rosendale, New York is accepting applications for its Studio Residency Grant. The six-to-eight-week residency is awarded to women artists interested in creating new work in a discipline supported by the studio, including intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics.
