Program Supports the Expansion of
Jazz Presentation in the Region
Baltimore, MD – October 31, 2018 – Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF) has announced the addition of three new members to its Jazz Touring Network (JTN). We welcome:
- Ars Nova Workshop, Philadelphia, PA
- On Stage at Kingsborough, Brooklyn, NY
- Salisbury University, Salisbury, MD
The JTN is a presenter-based membership program designed to expand the presentation of jazz in the mid-Atlantic region. Members of the JTN are committed to annually presenting jazz ensembles that represent the artistic excellence, innovation, and diversity found in jazz today. The program offers its members opportunities for professional development, peer networking, and funding for regional jazz tours. The JTN supports presenters in the mid-Atlantic region with little or no experience presenting jazz as well as experienced jazz presenters looking for ways to strengthen their programming.
Since 2001, MAAF has supported 40 organizations through the program. Today there are 24 members of the Jazz Touring Network representing six states and the District of Columbia. Click here for more information and a complete list of current network members.
For questions about the Jazz Touring Network program, please contact Jess Porter, Program Officer, Performing Arts at jess@midatlanticarts.org.
The Jazz Touring Network is made possible through the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts’ Regional Touring Program.
