Jazz Touring Network LogoBaltimore, MD – November 1, 2017 – Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation has announced the addition of four new members to its Jazz Touring Network. We welcome:

> Flushing Council for Arts and Culture, Flushing, NY
> Kente Arts Alliance, Pittsburgh, PA
> Manchester Craftsman’s Guild Jazz, Pittsburgh, PA
> Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell, PA

The Jazz Touring Network is a presenter-based membership program that provides support for professional development opportunities and performance fee subsidies for its participants. New members are selected on an annual basis through an open, competitive selection process. Membership criteria for JTN prioritizes performing arts presenters in the mid-Atlantic region with little or no experience presenting jazz, while also encouraging applications from experienced jazz presenters seeking to strengthen their programming. The JTN prioritizes participation by presenters that work in and with communities underserved by the arts. Once selected, membership in the program is ongoing contingent upon meeting annual participation requirements.

Since 2001, the Foundation has supported 40 organizations through the program. Today there are 25 members of the Jazz Touring Network representing seven states and the District of Columbia. Click here for more information and a complete list of current network members.

For questions about the Jazz Touring Network program, please contact Jess Porter, Program Officer, Performing Arts at jess@midatlanticarts.org.

The Jazz Touring Network is made possible through the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts’ Regional Touring Program.
