Organizations selected as host sites for the program participate in film selection, screen six films annually over two three-month intervals in the fall and spring, and develop community activities with the visiting filmmakers that provide context for the screened work. The following organizations will serve as host sites in 2016-2017:

  • BlackRock Center for the Arts - Germantown, Maryland
  • Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania - Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania

USArtists International, a nationwide program that provides grants to U.S. music, dance and theatre artists invited to perform at significant international festivals or performing arts markets abroad, has a number of important upcoming dates. USAI applicants for the April 15, 2016 deadline will receive award notification the last week of June. Revisions to the program guidelines will be announced and the application for Round I will open in mid-July. If you are already planning on applying in a future round, two webinars are scheduled to assist potential applicants, and are most helpful when attended in sequence. Both webinars will include details about changes to the program starting this fall.
