Upcoming Artist Residency Deadline

Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Studio Barn
The Foundation provides support for individual artist residencies at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) through its Creative Fellowships program. Residencies provide artists with a private studio, room and board, and the company of other artists from around the nation for an intensive period of self-guided exploration and development. Creative Fellowships at VCCA support two-week or one-month residencies for composers, literary and visual artists from Delaware, Maryland, New York, and West Virginia. A modest travel subsidy is also awarded to the selected artists.The next residency application deadline for VCCA is January 15, 2016. Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America Tours Booking Now

Silencio Blanco (Chile) is now booking through
the 2016-2017 Southern Exposure program.
Nonprofit presenters nationwide are eligible for grant subsidies for booking artists from the Southern Exposure roster. The 2016-2017 touring roster was announced in early December and includes exceptional music, dance and theatre artists from Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. Visit MAAF at APAP 

Visit Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in Rhinelander #113 in the Exhibit Hall at APAP|NYC Conference in New York City, January 15-19, 2016. MAAF staff members will be available to meet with constituents to discuss grant guidelines and applications during this time, as well as during consultation sessions scheduled through APAP. In addition, MAAF will be offering two sessions overviewing MAAF's opportunities for both artists and presenters. Join MAAF in the Sutton Place room in the Sheraton on Friday, January 15 at 2pm for an information session on all of MAAF's funding opportunities, and at 8am on Sunday, January 17in the Madison Square room in the Sheraton for a joint session with the NEA on national and international funding opportunities.  For more information about APAP|NYC, click here.
 
Summer Arts Administration Internships

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation is currently seeking qualified individuals to serve as Summer Arts Administration Interns at our Baltimore, MD offices. Interested individuals would gain practical knowledge by assisting staff with the Individual Artist Awards and Fellowship programs administered by the Foundation on behalf of the states of Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey. By providing a supervised learning environment, Foundation internships offer graduate and undergraduate students as well as individuals who have recently completed their program of study the opportunity to gain insight and experience in nonprofit arts administration. The Foundation recruits two interns annually for the summer semester and provides each a stipend of $1,000. The application deadline is February 22, 2016. Jazz Touring Network Welcomes Two New Members

The Jazz Touring Network is a member consortium of mid-Atlantic based presenters committed to the robust presence of live jazz performance across our region. Jazz Touring Network members annually participate in consortium sponsored block-booked tours of jazz artists and ensembles chosen by the membership. Subsidy from Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation is available for each member to support performance and engagement activities at their venue and in the community. The Jazz Touring Network welcomes the Arts Council of Princeton in Princeton, NJ and the Light Up the Queen Foundation in Wilmington, DE as new members for the 2016-2017 season.
