Foundation Welcomes Two New Members to Jazz Program
Baltimore – December 5, 2014 – Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation has announced that the Arden Club, in Arden, DE and the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities in Cape May, NJ have been approved for membership in the Jazz Touring Network. The two organizations will join 22 other members that currently comprise the network.
The Jazz Touring Network is a presenter-based membership program designed to expand the presentation of jazz throughout the mid-Atlantic region by providing opportunities for professional development and peer mentoring, and facilitating touring through collective action and performance fee subsidies. New members are selected on an annual basis through an open, competitive selection process. The focus is on performing arts presenters from within the mid-Atlantic region that have had little to no experience presenting jazz. Once selected, membership in the program is ongoing contingent upon meeting the annual participation requirements. Presenting organizations selected for membership are eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses relating to attendance at the annual network meeting and fee-support for engagements that are part of network-developed block-booked tours.

The Jazz Touring Network is made possible through the generous support of the National Endowment for the Arts’ Regional Touring Program.
