Baltimore, MD - November 20, 2007 Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation announces the availability of guidelines for the 2008/2009 cycle of ArtsCONNECT, a program that supports performing arts tours through presenter consortia in the mid- Atlantic region.

ArtsCONNECT provides access to high quality live performing arts engagements to audiences across the mid-Atlantic region. Participating presenting organizations must be located in the Foundation's service area of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia.

In 2008, ArtsCONNECT provided $308,720 in support of 12 touring artists visiting 56 communities in the mid-Atlantic region. Tours included: Borealis Wind Quintet, Diavolo, Gary Burton Chick Corea Duo, McCoy Tyner and Savion Glover, Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, NAFTA: North American Festival of Traditional Arts touring Grupo Mono Blanco, Rapetipetam and Ata Gallup, Peru Negro, Ragamala Music and Dance Theater, Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE, Urban Bush Women, Victoria Marks, and Yamato.

Guidelines for ArtsCONNECT are available by clicking here. The deadline for the program is March 24, 2008 for projects taking place between July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009.
