Artists & Communities 2007-2008 Guidelines Available
Baltimore, MD –Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation announces the availability of guidelines for the 2007/2008 cycle of Artists & Communities, a program that offers support for partnerships between visiting artists and non-profit organizations engaged in community-based creative projects.
Artists & Communities provides opportunities for professional artists who are residents of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania to partner with non-profit organizations in projects that result in the creation of new work and involve active cultural participation by members of the host community. Participating organizations must be located in the Foundation’s service area of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Guidelines for Artists & Communities are available online at www.midatlanticarts.org or by calling the Foundation at 410.539.6656 x100. The deadline for the program is December 4, 2006 for projects taking place between April 1, 2007 – March 31, 2008.
Artists & Communities is supported by funding Johnson & Johnson, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, The Heinz Endowments, The William Penn Foundation, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and JP Morgan Chase.
