Krista Rimple Bradley Joins Staff at Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation As
Program Officer, Performing Arts

Baltimore, MD –Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Krista Rimple Bradley as Program Officer, Performing Arts.  Ms. Bradley will be responsible for the Foundation’s performing arts programs, including ArtsCONNECT, Mid Atlantic Tours, Special Presenter Initiatives, USArtists International, and special projects such as American Masterpieces.  She brings more than fourteen years experience working in the arts and grantmaking. As a consultant, Ms. Bradley provided a range of services in program development, audience development, residency planning, strategic communications and evaluation for not-for-profit cultural institutions.  Her clients included the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and the Washington Performing Arts Society and she has partnered with the Walker Arts Center and Aaron Davis Hall on successful long-term artist residencies.  

Prior to consulting, Ms. Bradley managed a five year re-granting program for the Wallace Readers’ Digest Fund and OPERA America to support the commissioning and presentation of new work and the development of programs to enrich audience experiences of performances.  She also served as Director of Community Programs for Houston Grand Opera where she created successful audience development programs to support and complement a number of world premieres and commissioned pieces.  Ms. Bradley began her career as Director of Education and Touring for the Virginia Opera, where managed statewide touring for the company and developed education and outreach programs to support performances.

Most recently, Ms. Bradley served as Program Officer and Director of Programs for the National AIDS Fund and the Washington Area Women’s Foundation. She attended Brown University. 

On her appointment Ms. Bradley said, “I’m thrilled to be joining Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation staff and returning to my first love, the arts.  The arts community in this region has so much to offer. I look forward to helping it thrive and to broadening and deepening audiences’ experiences.”

Ms. Bradley replaces Sara Picillo Donnelly who has been serving as Interim Performing Arts Officer since August 2005. Ms. Donnelly will remain with the Foundation in the capacity of Program Officer, Jazz. Working in arts administration since 1984, Ms. Donnelly has held several arts positions with the National Endowment for the Arts, National Jazz Service Organization, Association of Performing Arts Presenters and previously Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation when she was its Program Officer, Performing Arts in 1994-96.  Ms. Donnelly can be reached at 410.539.6656 x 116 or via email at sara@midatlanticarts.org

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation fosters and supports arts programming for the benefit of arts organizations, artists and audiences and encourages exchanges that link the arts resources of the mid-Atlantic region to the rest of the nation and the world. The Foundation was created in 1979 and is a private non-profit organization that is closely allied with the region’s state arts councils and the National Endowment for the Arts. It combines funding from state and federal resources with private support from corporations, foundations, and individuals to address needs in the arts from a regional perspective. The region includes nine states and jurisdictions: The District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia and West Virginia.
