Millennium Book

Artists & Communities: America Creates for the Millennium was a national artist-in-residence program whose creative phase ended in May 2001. Artists & Communities: America Creates for the Millennium placed some of the nation’s finest artists in long-term residencies in 56 different communities across the United States - one in each state and jurisdiction.

The resource guide, Artists & Communities: America Creates for the Millennium takes you through the entire project and features photos on each of the 56 projects, an artist directory, and information for both artists and host organizations on how to create and administer a successful community-based artist residency.
