2010 Jazz Touring Network Guidelines Now Available |
 |
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation announces the availability
of the 2010 guidelines for the Jazz Touring Network. a
membership program designed to expand the
presentation of jazz throughout the mid-Atlantic region
by providing selected presenters with the tools
necessary to develop and sustain the art form as an
ongoing part of their annual programming. Members
receive performance fee subsidies for jazz
engagements that are part of network-developed
block-booked tours, and support to attend bi-annual
meetings that provide opportunities for professional
development and peer interaction.
The Jazz Touring Network is open to applications from
presenting organizations within the mid-Atlantic region
that have had little to no experience presenting jazz,
and who also work with communities underserved by
the arts. Once selected, membership in the program
is ongoing contingent upon meeting annual
participation requirements. The application deadline
for the program is July 31, 2009. For
