USArtists International Application Deadline Fast Approaching

Audrey Chen with CelloThe next application deadline for USArtists International is Friday, January 8, 2010 for engagements taking place between March 1, 2010 and February 28, 2011. The program is committed to ensuring that the impressive range of expression and creativity of the performing arts in the United States is represented abroad. USArtists International provides support for American dance, music, and theater ensembles and solo artists invited to perform at significant international festivals anywhere in the world outside the United States and its territories. 2010-2011 ArtsCONNECT Guidelines Now Available
AXIS Dance CompanyGuidelines are now available for the Foundation's 2010-2011 ArtsCONNECT program.  The program supports performing arts tours across the mid-Atlantic region developed through consortia of presenting organizations. Participating presenters must be located in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia. Consortia must include a minimum of three presenting organizations from at least two of the eligible states and jurisdictions. Applications that exceed this minimum requirement will receive priority consideration. The application deadline for ArtsCONNECT is March 22, 2010 for projects taking place between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011. Applications will be available after January 15, 2010. ArtsCONNECT Projects in Development
The Foundation has published the first issue of ArtsCONNECT Projects in Development, a list of projects culled from a survey of presenters developing tours in the mid-Atlantic region for the 2010-2011 season. ArtsCONNECT Projects in Development is designed to foster dialogue among presenters interested in submitting ArtsCONNECT applications for the upcoming March 2010 deadline.  To view the current listing of projects, click here.

If you're attending the Association of Performing Arts Presenters ("APAP") conference in New York on January 8-12, 2010 and wish to speak with Foundation staff about current funding opportunities, including Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour ("PennPAT"), as well as projects you have in development, please visit us at booth 114 in  Rhinelander Gallery or sign up in advance for a consultation session.

Krista Bradley, Program Officer, Performing Arts, and Sara Nash, Program Associate, International will also be holding on-on-one consultations during the conference on Sunday, January 10 from 10:00 a.m. - 12-noon and Monday, January 11 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. These consultations are a great opportunity to discuss upcoming ArtsCONNECT projects; American Masterpieces and Mid Atlantic Tours engagements planned for 2010-11; Special Presenter Initiatives in Delaware, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington, DC; and funding available through USArtists International. PennPAT roster artist
Emily Pinkerton (pictured) will showcase at the Arts Presenters Conference in New York City on January 8, 2010. Also, Pig Iron Theatre Company is part of the Under Radar Festival with multiple performances during the conference.  Currently, 11 PennPAT roster artists are scheduled to perform during the conference.  Be sure to check our website regularly for a list all showcasing artists and details.  Visit PennPAT staff Katie West and Chrissie DiAngelus at booth 114 in Rhinelander Gallery.
 

CMA Showcases

Congratulations to roster artist Andy Milne.  Andy was recently selected to showcase at Chamber Music America CMA this January.  Additionally, roster artist Diane Monroe will perform during the conference at Symphony Space.  Click here for more information.

Mid Atlantic Launches YouTube Channel
YouTube LogoMid Atlantic is pleased to announce the launch of a new YouTube channel highlighting the work of our grantees and Foundation programming!  We are still in the very early stages, but will be adding work and rotating videos throughout the upcoming year.
