Special Projects

The Foundation supports special projects initiated by the National Endowment for the Arts, and other opportunities that may not fit into a particular program but help to further Mid Atlantic's mission.

Programs include:

• Poetry Out Loud: Working with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, MAAF is providing administrative and event support for the national recitation program, Poetry Out Loud. Poetry Out Loud will bring high school students from across the nation to Washington, DC to compete in the National Finals in April 2009.
