Special Presenter Initiatives
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, in partnership with the Delaware Division of the Arts, the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts, offers small and mid-sized presenting organizations in the three jurisdictions the opportunity to apply for grants to broaden and/or diversify their programming and expand audiences.
Grants are awarded to help defray costs related to touring engagements by professional performing artists from within the mid-Atlantic region (Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, West Virginia) or from outside of the United States. Grant awards, which differ for each jurisdiction, range from $500 - $5,000. Specific eligibility criteria apply for each program.

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation recently offered informational webinars for potential applicants to its 2012-2013 Performing Arts Presenters Initiative programs in Delaware, the District of Columbia, and the US Virgin Islands. The webinars covered the respective program's goals, objectives, eligibility criteria and the new online application process, and provided participants an opportunity to answer questions of MAAF staff. These webinars were recorded for those unable to attend the sessions and for participants who wish to review the information presented.
