Community Arts Institute

What is CAI?

A weekend symposium designed to assist organizations and artists in planning successful community-based arts projects featuring visiting artists, the Community Arts Institute is presented in conjunction with MAAF's annual grant support program Artists & Communities. The sessions are suitable for all levels of experience, so whether you are considering your first project or have years of experience, there will be something for you to learn or share.

The faculty for this intensive two-day workshop is comprised of your peers in the field of community-based arts programming, and features case studies of programs and projects funded by the Foundation over the past two years.

Come and learn from your colleagues what it takes to be successful in your application to MAAF's Artists & Communities program, network with community artists and community program coordinators and have your questions answered by experts in the field of funding, marketing, evaluation and community engagement.
